The Netherlands’ data protection authority has imposed a penalty of €30.5M on Clearview AI for GDPR violations.
Executives should ALWAYS be held personally liable. They’re the people choosing to break the law, and they’re forcing powerless people to enact their illegal enterprises.

Any client of that company can just check if Dutch citizens are in the database. Even Dutch police has been a client so I’m sure the AP has the right connections to find out.

I’d be for dragging the big oil execs to the Hague. Including those from the past 40 years. Crimes against humanity and ecocide.
