They’re not cutting those jobs. They’re just firing the US staff.
Those jobs are being prepared to hire in India / Romania / Other in approximately 2 months.
(I don’t know that for a fact, I’m just, cynically, saying that’s the trend)

We’re these some of the employees GM was going to use to replace CarPlay in their vehicles, or did they do something else like IT?

There were also cuts in other software areas. My team propulsion controls for BEVs, and we lost a couple people pretty unexpectedly.
