I really like the Anime-style using Game-mechanics to tell the different stories. I can imagine a run of 10-Seasons, just based on the many diverging storylines in the actual Nier:Automata gameplay loop!
Also I have no problem with Main-character is blown-up. Restart from last-save point with less information about the previous playthrough. Its very Gamerified storytelling. Quite nice actually.
