it’s still notable that Meta is making Threads part of the decentralized social network system after only launching the app just eight months ago
“just eight months ago”. There’s most likely a bunch of opensource tech in there, so it’s not like they wrote it from scratch. And they are funded by one of the largest and wealthiest tech companies out there. Eight months is a long time to have one way fediverse integration.
You can’t make a baby in one month with 9 women, the same way you there’s a limit to making an app evolve faster by throwing more ressources at it
So we can spin up our own instance to spam the shit out of Meta with bots?
Looking forward to catching up on architecture and design blogs that never made the full migration to Mastodon.
