I feel like a Vulcan suffering from bendi syndrome. 😭 This plaque was seen at a Magic the Gathering pre-release event for Star Trek’s Beyond Realms sets tonight. I don’t know where this event was located.
I’m pumped. I’m going tonight. Borg queen precon looks 🔥 and Jean luc I might pick up a single extra precon to just hold on to with his recent passing.
I’d be a terrible actor because I’d have all kinds of clauses in my contracts such as “don’t commidify my death” and “don’t feed my likeness into a statistical model” or perhaps even “If my payment is revenue share and the work fails to make profit for 15 or more out of 30 years then the studio owes me $2,000,000”
rob_t_firefly@lemmy.world 38 minutes ago I agree. This feels really gross, and fuck Wizards of the Coast in particular right now.
🤣 I’m SURE. Someone walks up to your poor ass with a million dollars to sell your likeness and you’re going to turn it down. 👌👍🤡🤣

The meaning of SIC ITUR AD ASTRA is thus one goes to the stars : such is the way to immortality. - Merriam Webster.
Seems a reasonable sentiment, if perhaps in a crass place.
