A new anime adaptation of Case Closed/Detective Conan author Gosho Aoyama’s Yaiba manga is now in the works, following the official announcement from Weekly Shonen Sunday. The news was revealed in this year’s latest 24th issue of Shogakukan’s magazine, which is available Japanese stores today.

This is about Aoyama-sensei’s other manga, named YAIBA, not Detective Conan. YAIBA had an anime adaptation 30 years ago and is getting a new one. So yes, the old one stopped.
