Heyo.
It’s that time again: Time to crow about modeling something which took mere moments to knock together and if we’re lucky as many as four other people on Earth might care about. That’s the Very Specific Object way.
The other day I found myself with two problems. The first was that I wanted to sharpen some of my rather famously thick slabs of steel, and the other is that I am, as ever, lazy. I have a Ruixin RX-009 sharpening jig and I’m quite pleased with it, but its major shortcoming is that it can’t clamp any knife thicker than 4mm. (This whole thing is just completely on brand for me, by the way. Top to bottom.)
The stock clamps in this jig are single aluminum part which I’m pretty sure is cast. This should be a doddle to recreate in plastic, so I did. And surprisingly, it works great.
It requires a couple of commodity metric screws and nuts, but that’s to be expected. Otherwise, it works just like the original clamps. Only… thicker.

If you have a use for this, knock yourself out.
