Comment on Are some peertube instances/channels not being federated with lemmy.world

Lemmy and PeerTube hasn't worked for a few months now - you'll have to fetch the vids manually if you want 'em.
There nothing wrong from PT's end - they fed with PieFed (e.g. https://piefed.social/c/thelinuxexperiment_channel@tilvids.com), MBIN (I believe), and Mastodon, but some change in Lemmy broke something.

Good to know. I dunno piefed seems to be doing a lot of good things lately. I might spin a local version up and try it out.
Thanks! That really sucks on lemmy.world end. I wanted to direct link so all the comments/views would show up on the creators peertube pages. We have a very small community and most of these videos only have views in the hundreds (if that).

Any good links to get started /u/rimu@piefed.social? I have a home yunohost and a couple of raspberry pis but thats about it ATM. What do you recommend to someone just getting started?

Check this out https://join.piefed.social/docs/installation/ and additional installation instructions linked to at the end.
The repository has a docker config file too, which you might find easier. No yunohost config yet, sorry.
I haven't heard of anyone running it on a Pi but it should be doable. Consider putting the DB on a separate Pi if you subscribe to a lot of high traffic communities.

Thanks I’ll give it a shot! Appreciate the docker container :)
I tried self hosting with lemmy s while back and the old yunohost package was too old to federate with other instances.
