Across all these studies, there is one group that is drastically lonelier than everyone else. The people who are not getting their share of social connection in America are those who aren’t getting their share of a lot: poor people. Those who struggle to afford essentials are also more likely to struggle with feelings of isolation.

billionaire guillotine
amirite?
billionaire guillotine doesn’t guarantee that our lifes will be better, it only ensures that theirs will be worse. i’d instead start with universal basic income and such (which has to be paid by higher wealth taxes because how else do we pay for it?)

Do you think the billionaire class will allow that?
why not? it would increase GDP if people have more money to spend.

If we need more fun social events for poor people to take part in, that sounds like a great way to start!
well, “the poors” literally voted for one, still has broad support ffs seems unlikely they’d call for the guillotine.
As long as brown skinned people are treated badly and trans teens can’t olay basketball they’re happy, no matter how shitty he makes their lives.
