The desktop app is called “EA App” not “EA Play” which is where the confusion is coming from. “EA Play” is the game subscription service that’s like gamepass.

_pete_@lemmy.world 5 weeks agoI don’t know for sure in this case but some EA games require you to use EA Play as a launcher, even if you buy the game through Steam.
