The non-serious arcs of Gintama are the best and it peaked between episodes 278 and 291
We got bogged down around 150 or so and still haven’t gotten rolling again despite several attempts. Overall we love the show, guess it was just a bit of burnout. Also doesn’t help that CR streams it in smearyvision. I have 25+ year old DVDs that look crisper.

Does your DVD copy have the vertical text segments that show up in the “kono bangumi wa…” sections?
If I had Gintama DVDs, I wouldn’t be watching on CR lol. I meant just DVDs in general.
