I remember when Democrats put a freeze on offshore oil drilling after the BP Horizon disaster, because the administration wanted to make sure we did haven’t any more calamities waiting in the wings to wreck the ecology of the Gulf of WhateverWe’reCallingItNow.
Conservatives lost their absolute shit and would not stop screaming about it for years.
Trump’s freeze on Wind Turbine development, in the middle of an energy supply crisis, gets nothing but crickets. Virtually no major news outlet covers it. No national politicians seem like they want to talk about it. Even the Ultra-Radical Extremist Tankie Left isn’t juiced up on it.
You’d think skyrocketing gas and electricity prices would get people a bit more invested in this as a story, but… shrug I guess not.
Because the propaganda has been working. I brought this up to my folks, and my dad went on a tirade about how wind isn’t very good, and when you go by a wind farm the turbines aren’t all spinning at once.
While I’m sure he thought up some of that himself, his rant felt like it wasn’t all his words. Especially when he mentioned birds

Just look at the tariffs on solar and batteries from China. Or EVs from China. USA has been slow walking green tech for decades Republicans just turned it up a notch. Balcony solar was made legal in one state just last year.
Meanwhile China has enough solar and wind to power all of USA.
