Every faction is evil
- Comment on Is Flappy Bird a good game? 1 week ago:
It was a classic game concept. My earliest memory was of a helicopter game in the 80s, where is worked basically the exact same way.
It’s a very 80s game idea, and those games weren’t for everyone, to be sure. But Flappy Bird wasn’t a bad game, just a typical time waster of its decade. With Super Mario graphics.

Am I the only one who appreciates Ethan Phillips and acting the way he was written?

If anyone is looking for this, they call them “dry herb vaporizers” these days, to alleviate confusion.
And they are good

It has to spin. It’s round. Spinning is so much cooler than not spinning.

- Comment on If Browser and Wario are Mario's mortal ennemies, why did he invited them for a kart race? 2 months ago:
Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES opened with a curtain rising as if the whole thing was a theater production.
This theme has been hinted at for a long time
- Comment on Gaming Pet Peeves 3 months ago:
Challenges that require replaying a level several times to achieve them can be very rewarding
Unless the level also comes with unskippable cut scenes or long conversations on horseback
- Comment on Wireless charging is the dumbest invention ever created 5 months ago:
I like wireless charging simply because of the stress that charging ports undergo tends to cause them to fail. That alone was enough for me to primarily stick with wireless.
But I also don't use my phone a lot at home. Generally if my phone is charging, I have access to my desktop PC and prefer to use that for watching videos or browsing news.
- Comment on [fluff post] If lemmy users are Lemmites, what would we like to call piefed users? 6 months ago:
I choose not to differentiate the two. I think we are all part of the same group
It's home instances that we are tribal about more than software interface.

I think the term "homemaker" applies
- Comment on Why people say they have a "boy cat" or a "girl cat" but when the cat grows up, they don't call is a "man cat" or "woman cat"? 7 months ago:
My cat was an "old man cat" for a while before he passed.
Anyhow, a "man cat" just sounds like a cat who dresses up like a man and fights crime
- Comment on What are some games with absolutely fantastic soundtracks? 7 months ago:
Nobody has mentioned the Fallout games, but they always have a great radio station. Sometimes the soundtrack itself is pretty good too.
- Comment on Lemmy User Feedback and Improvement Thread: Share Your Complaints, Suggestions, and Ideas 7 months ago:
No, instead scaled sort makes the feed dominated by single users posting the same thing to 5 similar communities. Or a community's single moderator posting 5 or 12 things at once to a community with no users
I find it far less helpful when browsing all.
- Comment on the universe about to have a little minty b 8 months ago:
It depends on which data is saved and what methods are used. Maybe it was able to use a partial write. Or maybe your position was saved, but your memory wasn't, and your mind had to fill in the blanks.
