Imo at least 975 years to early.
Not a debate, a fact. A millennium is 1,000 years, 1,000 years was completed at the end of 1000. The second 1,000 years was completed at the end of 2000.
Or we could just say “fuck that noise” and just say the first millennium was a little bit short.
