Comment on why isn't anyone calling for Trump to drop out.

No one is asking him to drop out because they aren’t afraid he’s going to lose. Simple as that.
Everyone with their panties in a twist right now could have done something about it during the primaries, but apparently protest votes about Israeli atrocities were the priority.

Yes, that is how it works. Their electorate chose Biden so they run that candidate. And that also means circling the wagons around him.
I just hope all the disillusioned people still vote for him, as the rest of the world cannot handle another trump term. Trump exemplifies a lot of what is wrong with the world, and we don’t need another 4 years of a loudmouth, lying, traitorous wannabe dictator who will show the world how he can cozy up and embolden actual dictators and take the reigns of big corporations to continue to rape the planet for profit. That is just too bad of an example.

And yet that guy is polling ahead of the guy you want to circle the wagons around, and you don’t see why people like me are upset about it. It’s like the Dem leadership are trying to throw the election on purpose.

Hey I have been rooting for Bernie from the sidelines for decades.

what do you suggest people should have done during the primaries
Register Republican and vote for anyone but Trump. Even if the vote were split and he ended up winning anyway it would have emboldened centrist Republicans to stand against the fascist wing of the party.

You are suggesting that anti-Israel protesters should have spontaneously joined the Republican party en mass as a ploy to throw the primaries?
Damn, when you put it like that I guess it is their fault.
Garbanzo@lemmy.world 4 months ago
I’m suggesting that literally every eligible voter should have done that. Republicans only get away with representing the worst vocal minorities in this country because we let them.

I did vote against him in the primary so I reserve the right to have my panties in a twist. My protest vote was for another candidate.
