Yikes. If there’s no mainline support you’ll be stuck on whatever version the vendor gives you.

Seems not too bad. It does boot with mainline Linux and the vendor releases patches for recent kernel versions, which is much better than most ARM SoCs.

They should be providing patches then. If so, you can patch a vanilla kernel.
