Comment on State-backed digital violence used to silence women in Thailand

This article is fine, I don’t disagree with it. But compare a crime committed by the government of a US ally (Thailand) vs one by a US enemy (China). Amnesty International has a cosy relationship with the US.

Comparing by scale, China’s crimes are more inline with Israel (another US ally) than Thailand. And AI covered and condemned them pretty extensively, even prior to the genocide happening now. See www.amnesty.org/en/search/?qcategory=1148&qlocati…

Honestly, AI is fine. They’re far better than most human rights groups. In regards to Israel, “genocide” wasn’t mentioned until the ICJ. Anyhow, searching for “Israel” in their website does not mean that AI criticised Israel 400 times. Just look through the articles.

Of course not. I was trying to show that they were actively condemning Israel long before the “war” Israel started after the October 7th. They were among few groups that called out Israel’s apartheid regime www.amnesty.org/en/documents/mde15/5141/2022/en/ in a damming report, that I would recommend reading in full.
And I’m sure there might be articles or posts that are worse than others, and that’s why evaluate each content individually.

I agree. Israel’s real war crimes are just as bad as China’s imaginary ones.

That’s right! Remember folks, it’s not a war crime when it’s against your own people
