Loved your comment. Its actually 1% thats really sick (psychopaths, violent narcissists, etc) that happen to have infiltrated all power structures. These people need to be institutionalized, not worshipped as gods.
I think the number of clueless/careless people is more like 70-80% and we‘re a vocal, fractured minority that doesnt have enough power or unity to influence against the 1%.

This comment is like a gut punch because its exactly right. Shit floats and sociopaths are drawn to power like flies to shit. Enough time has passed that our institutions have become infested with sociopaths like a cockroach infestation. The vast majority of “normal” people are fucking checked out zombies that only give a shit about catching the sportball game and stuffing their asshole full of cheetos. These “normal” people treat informing themselves or learning like like its a fucking venereal disease. It truly feels like humanity has run its course.
