Tweak@feddit.uk 1 month agoYeah, I mean apparently this is being driven by charities for the blind, but you can even see in the main image for the article that there is a defined crossing over the cycle lane with different texture pavement tiles. The blind are far from being ignored here.
Do not live in London. So never come accross these stops.
But as I use a white stick. I really don’t see an issue. Cyclists can be awful when looking out for visually impaired. But it seems the bus stop would likely force a slow down and expectation of passengers.

It’s just a typical conservative tactic - pretend to care about one group whilst actually hating on another. Ask them to do something actually useful for the group they pretend to care for and you’ll find that “sadly” it’s just too expensive.
