You could also just learn an instrument / how to sing and join a band. That way it might be genuine.

Eh, no thanks. I’ve tried these things and I physically can’t do it. I’m proud of my lyrics, I think that’s genuine enough for me, and it’s fun to do. Don’t have a musical bone in my body, mate. It’s cool that you don’t want to listen, but I like it. Have a nice day!
