Doesn’t change the fact that it’s a decent move. “Sorry guys we didnt bill you when expected so now we just wont bill you at all until the next interval”.
You had to scroll through a lot on your linked site to get to the part that you copied… It is not a service, it is more of a donation. Hence the name “Patron” I assume.

I’m pretty sure I knew that already. The other guy said they got a month “for free,” which begs the question “what are you getting?”
Nothing material in the sense that you imply. Access to the community, that’s it.
Also if I may add, having followed GOG for some 9 years now, it always seemed to me like their worst side is transparency/communications, only starting to change in recent years but weakly so. Having them share the information openly, even if by newsletter, is to me quite the improvement already.
