I generally agree but I think it is starting to change. The primary protest votes suggest there is growing “disapproval” regarding Israel, and this is among actual voters. Not enough to make it politically “safe” for Biden to outright oppose Israel now, but it is something.

It’s weird that this is surprising to any leftists, but hopefully this is a wake-up call.
You are in a bubble.
Most people go not agree that there is a genocide, or that it’s a bad thing if there is. Even democrats are only 50/50 on it.
IF BIDEN DIRECTLY GOES AGAINST ISRAEL, HE WILL LOSE VOTES.
Hopefully this pops the stupid idea that Biden could gain votes by denouncing Israel but he won’t because he just loooooves genocide.
YES IT IS GENOCIDE. YES IT IS WRONG. WE ARE IN THE MINORITY FOR UNDERSTANDING THIS. JUST BECAUSE MOST OF YOUR FRIENDS GET IT, DOES NOT MEAN MOST OF THE COUNTRY GETS IT.

Agreed. It is changing. Not by enough to change the political calculus yet, but the trend is favorable. I said it was 50/50 for Dems but actually the most recent polls I could find have it at 60/40 and rising.

Biden selling his soul for votes doesn’t make it much better

Sucks but that’s the unavoidable calculation.

On the bright side, since he has to respond to votes it means blackmailing him for a ceasefire does in fact work.
Saying that he needs to abide by AIPAC but not by the will of his voters is not true.
AIPAC can definitely cost him votes, but obeying their every whim 100% will also cost Biden votes. If he refuses to push back and find a balance he will lose. Blindly obeying the Zionist lobby isn’t going to get him reelected.

He’s doing his best to walk that line. Don’t get too full of yourself that he’s doing it for you. He’s risking a lot of votes to push back on Israel, for very little gain since leftists are notoriously impossible to please and flaky at the ballot box.
I think Biden is pushing back against Israel as much as he can because it’s the right thing to do.

The biggest bubble is the bubble around Washington, D.C., fueled by tons of money. Most people would agree there is a genocide if they were made aware of it, but there is a lot of money being pumped to make sure the truth isn’t given any attention.

Agreed. Frankly, a lot of independents are just poorly-informed potential Democrats, on a lot of issues.
