In the press release, it clearly says the case is defamation. She used her free speech and they defamed her. Her termination is illegal under Section 1102 of the Labor Code.
No employer shall coerce or influence or attempt to coerce or influence his employees through or by means of threat of discharge or loss of employment to adopt or follow or refrain from adopting or following any particular course or line of political action or political activity.

Thanks to the erosion of labor laws in this country in large part thanks to conservatives, that might not mean much. California is an at will state. All Disney has to do is say they fired her for other reasons.
