Or maybe a single attack by a bigger instance with more users is enough to put us down and actually reach more people, and we’ll never know what people actually feel by being constantly attacked for being small.

Thank you for phrasing it as a question. I can answer, but only for myself. I am a person and I like this community. I suspect others who have joined it do as well, by I’ll let them chime in if so.
