There’s a social pressure to answering a phone call that a text doesn’t quite have.
I wasn’t arguing with you. I was just answering your question, but clearly people have taken offense to that.

I definitely didn’t take any offense. I also have ADHD and work in a job that involves constant distractions. You don’t need to succumb to social pressure to answer a call unless you think it’s important, you can always call someone back on your schedule. I just know that I get way more accomplished in a 30 second phone call than a 20 minute text exchange

But then they don’t answer, and you’re stuck playing phone tag for hours, all while the lingering threat of another call back at an inopportune time continues to hang over your head.
I hate pulling away from what I’m doing to jump on a call, but I feel like I have to rip off that proverbial bandaid quickly when I get one because it might be worse if I don’t just get it out of the way ASAP.
