His father was the one with all the burly men? Freddy GOATs was the arts patron and military genius who made sure his troops had a uniform that they looked hot in. The man who both made Prussia into Prussia and Berlin into Berlin

Ah I see!
The ironic thing is that Frederik (who was philosophically a pacifist, when he was heir to the throne) really was the warmonger, whereas his father loved his soldiers way to much to ever risk them in battle.
