The control scheme and lack of coop are fundamental to the design and story telling of the game. The only game i have played that tells a story through actual gameplay.

criticalinvite@lemmy.world 11 months agoI played it way back when and tried it again after it takes two. Proper co-op would be great, for me

I actually played it with my son coop a decade ago when he was quite young, he’d sit in my lap and we’d each have one hand on the controller. We played it through that way and had a blast. I remember him being quite scared at some points, and the game was an emotional rollercoaster, but we very much enjoyed playing it together and I could see it working as a coop game.

I dunno it’s about working together? Plus the story still hits when one of you are removed from playing?

Co-op would defeat the entire purpose of the game.

Maybe, I liked the game play though and thought it would be good to play with another to do another play though. I suppose that’s what it takes two is, I just like having options to enjoy things in different ways.
