seitanic@lemmy.sdf.org 7 months agoThere’s something seriously wrong with our communication infrastructure if some rich nutjob can just buy it up and run it into the ground like this. This could’ve never happened if Twitter were a worker-owned collective. Chalk another one up for capitalism.

Or if it were a federated platform made up of different instances with their own different business models and corporate structures.
But of course, federation and interoperability doesn’t work well with capitalist goals, so it’s still to blame either way.
