Not sure where else to post this. This is my boy Balto, who unfortunately passed away during an emergency surgery on Monday to correct a diaphragm hernia. I’m going to miss him forever.

Yes, still in shock over this happening. He was only 2. We had no idea he might not have made it out of that surgery.

I had a similar experience a few years ago with gizmo, an extraordinary feline. I’m sure both are in a good place and forever alive in our hearts anyway.

Thank you for the kind words. We are still in so much pain from his loss. We did not expect to lose him during this surgery, especially at just 2 years old. I have to tell myself that we did the right thing and gave him the best year of life that any dog could ever possibly ask for.
