The popular info article cites this website as tbe proof for the crime im the area. The headline on this says that it doesn’t guarantee accuracy and that it requires a police to be involved. I would hazard that most of the theft was unreported.

If you have ever lived in the area, you would know that nobody reports small crimes. Its hard to even find an article on this.
