Huh!? I’ll be! Learn something new every day.
Is that limited to what’s in the Windows App Store, or is it using some other backend?

winget has a community repository of installer and utility-zip urls and checksums. It’s not limited to win store.
Windows has a package manager now?

Go to the Linux Mint website Download the ISO and flash it to a USB drive Install Linux Mint on your PC Use the preinstalled Firefox and never bother with any Chromium garbage or with Windows again No need to run a proprietary operating system on your computer or use a proprietary browser

Seems a little extreme for a browser switch

The problem is not just with the garbage browser. The root of the issue is proprietary software made by profit-driven mega corporations. Linux on the other side is a piece of free and open source software that is voluntarily built by the community and meant to empower users and let them take back control of their computers.

Micro$oft enshitifying Windows was extreme enough for me. Should’ve done it years ago.

If someone has trouble with their Windows PC, I always send them this official Microsoft article
