Comment on [HN] The HP Printer USB Sticker Trick Also Works for Thermaltake PSUs
off_brand_@beehaw.org 11 months agoHP made a wifi-only printer (to collect your data). Someone noticed it’s not WiFi only, it’s just a normal printer with a sticker over the USB port because they couldn’t be bothered to make an entire new printer model to badger you into using.
Whatever the Thermal take PSUs are, it looks like they pulled a similar trick with their hidden ports.

Thank you for the explanation. I like to say “fuck the Chinese government” but also “Fuck HP” and all the other sketchy printing companies.
