Comment on Nothing to see here, just join lemmy promoting a pedophile instance. Not a good look for the fediverse
I wouldn’t hold your breath, they didn’t even want to remove the Nazi instance in their AMA.
Yet they did remove other pedo instances from join-lemmy, so there’s a good chance it’ll get removed.
Okay, so they do have a line. Nazi’s just don’t cross that line for them. Awesome job, dev team.
Nazis can’t really get them in trouble. CSAM can, and if it gets through one instance, all instances get it, and that’s a bad face for the Fediverse.
I think containing the Nazis to their own little instance is better than spreading them thin across everywhere else.
I’d rather they didn’t congregate and feedback loop themselves into hate crimes.
That’s not what the comment thread was talking about. It wasn’t about removing the instance from running just to stop advertising it on the join-lemmy site and they refused.
