That even ignores the even more egregious fact that she was supposedly Army. How many Army personnel are usually on Navy ships?
There are exceptions of course, and any number of possible explanations. But just that off the bat should make you pause for a second since it’s weird.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and reach for it… and say that on a LST, that platform exists… but considering the time, those ships are all decommissioned

You can see Aegis radars where they would appear on a destroyer, but on an actual ship, if she were standing in front of the bridge, she’d be out next to the 5 inch gun. There are no raised platforms that far out in front of the bridge on any Aegis-capable platform.

There’s no Aegis on an LST, and that large, pale hexogonal shape behind her is part of the Aegis weapon system.
