    At no point was Israel or the US pretending to be a country they weren’t, ie using a “false flag”

    “False flag” operations intend for the blame or legal consequence of the operation to be placed on the the people/country that the perpetrator is pretending to be so in the case of Northwoods, Cuba

      israel tried pretending to be egypt when it attacked the USS Liberty killing US servicemen with the hope it would trigger the US to join their war against egypt

        I wasn’t alive then – but none of the sources I’ve read mention anything other than Israel being fully responsible, and the only debate being whether the attack was deliberate or not
