I mean arguments like this are tricky, cause on one hand, buying property to rent out is one of the ways out of wage slavery, but on the other hand housing is (should be) a human right, so where do we draw the line?
I’d love a beach condo to use 2-4 weeks out of the year and rent out the rest of the time, but wouldn’t I just be inflating property value artificially, keeping locals frozen out of the market?
I also don’t really think the answer is all property being state-owned, but what do I know

No property is free to own, at least in the USA. All property owes tax to the state, and 99% of dwelling units needs utilities and upkeep

look up who owns whatever media outlet you think isn’t fascist

The biggest lie of them all is the “Liberal” in liberal media
All American media is essentially fascist, they’ve proven this beyond a doubt
If there were even a HINT of an ALLEGATION that Biden or Obama were party to INFANTICIDE they would have burned DC to the ground. Now all the US media outlets are just participating in the damage control operation

This is for the US only, unfortunately, but it substantiates my claim, according to this article 54% read below 6th grade level but the “average” American reads at 7-8th grade level

Most Americans read at or below a 6th grade level

I wonder if they are out of touch because they are CEOs, or whether being out of touch helps them become CEOs, real chicken and egg problem there
- Comment on Capitalism turns countries into businesses to support the lavish lifestyle of capital holders and the government into HR to silence the workers 1 month ago:
The us government hands much of our taxes directly to the rich every year. Directly like oil and gas and farm subsidies and contracts to the defense industry… or indirectly like food stamps for wal mart workers. The rich don’t want to pay taxes cause they’re the ones who GET most of the tax money. (Yes I know Medicare and entitlements are a large portion of federal spending.)

apparently the bubble might not be as extreme as some people think because the major AI players are all being propped up by companies that actually produce revenues and profits
- Comment on YSK tricks for one of the cheapest meals: beans and rice 3 months ago:
a relatively cheap NON-VEGE way to add protein to this base is pork butt/shoulder (same thing) cooked slow all day, either slow cooker or oven at 250F. Its a cheaper cut of meat and one of them is enough to add protein to like 6 servings or rice+beans. Also, bone-in skin-on chicken thighs are great and less expensive- if you render some of the chicken fat out in your cooking vessel before cooking the rice and beans it is a big flavor boost.
