I loved the Dreamcast version then I tried a relatively modern PC version and it just didn’t have the same feel. Is this different?
I’m not sure what would be different. The Dreamcast version was marred by jerks hacking in various ways, most notably negative-level Resta so they could “heal” you (killing you) and stealing your weapon.
You don’t drop your weapon on death in this server.
Oh cool! I remember losing my Egg Blaster all those years backs!
Oof. I looked it up and it’s even worse. Some hackers were even Resta-killing and dropping glitched money in the lobby. Picking up glitched items (black cube) or getting killed in the lobby can corrupt your save file so you lose your characters.
Oof damn, that is brutal! But how did they get the items in the first place? Lol.

Seems like the DC version as far as I can remember it… But it does have some new features like camera control and other QOL updates that make it a bit less clunky

Tried to click the download link and PC gave a massive warning about it containing a Trojan virus.
