It’s been a while since I’ve played it on a CRT… I forgot how hard they worked to create a feeling of speed. I forgot about new, fancy games for a few minutes and my mind was transported to a time when graphics couldn’t get more real or more awesome.
I played Pacific Coast as it’s one of my least played courses, and the bass blew me away.
That’s something I always forget about the Genesis - as good as it sounds in video or emulation, nothing compares to having the sound chip blast your ears directly through some 90s-00s speakers.

You know it!
It was the very fist Genesis cart I ever bought.

Soundtrack is a banger. Grass Valler goes way harder than it has any right to.

Try to get the Batman and Robin game too, some of the best industrial techno I’ve ever heard. The same composer went on to do several AAA games, too.

Grab yourself Streets of Rage II, your ears will thank you.
