Oh, I watched the sub actually. Do they switch languages in the dub based on setting (when Lili is in Japan with her family, for example)? I might just rewatch it dubbed just to experience that LOL

No. The Japan scenes in the English dub continue to be in English. However, it’s easy to switch audio tracks mid-watch.
