jeffw@lemmy.world 23 hours agoI don’t think this is a thing. The court could reject you if you’re suspicious, but I don’t think there are laws saying “you need a blood relationship to post bail for someone”

I haven’t a clue what the rules are but I don’t think anybody was suggesting you had to have a blood relationship to bail someone out. I think they were suggesting you have to know the person, be a friend or colleague or have some kind of connection to them as opposed to some stranger just walking in and bailing out random people like I suggested in my original post
