macncheese@lemmy.world 1 week agoAmazing. All of Games Done Quick is so impressive to me. How in the world do people figure out things like if you just propel yourself into this very specific part of a wall you get flung to the last level of the castle??

There’s much more to GDQ than that, for the record! Of course it’s all about going fast, yes, but there are categories that don’t allow glitches, 100% runs that even with glitches showcase a lot of the game, and on the main events they have been including more and more showcase runs. My favourite this past AGDQ was the Super Mario 64 70 Star, 70 Person relay.
