Sorry that I was not more clear. The company is paying the employee 120k gross, yes, but then also paying other things behind the scenes like other taxes and unemployment insurance, etc.

GenAI is a fancy text predictor. It can and will make shit up, because it simply does not know what it is saying. Why would an assistant the likes of which you suggest not just be scripted “traditionally”?

The user is correct in that the modularity of a home PC is not the most efficient way for the electronics to communicate, and therefore some performance is lost.
I would also point out that while a PS5 has known, defined specs that a developer can plan for, a PC could be pretty much any specs. And while yes the dev can state a minimum spec requirement, but if they are launching on PC they are going to want to target a wide audience.

But the fact that it’s relatively easy to download and backup makes me confident that someone, somewhere, will rehost it should it go down. Hell, I’d even take a crack at it.
It’s kind of the point of federation, too. An instance can go down but anyone who federated with them will still have that data.
