The F35 doesn’t have a kill switch. It doesn’t need one because all spare parts and maintenance are controlled by the US. They could cut off access to spares and quickly ground your f35.

Ronan@piefed.social 4 days agoJust sell them the inferior product and add a couple of kill switches, then openly brag about it to the media how dumb our allies are when they still buy your equipment. Seems to work for the US, their F35 sales are even increasing after Trump made these remarks. It looks to be a valid sales tactic and a way to ensure your frienemies can’t turn against you.

Well obviously we need a centralized mission management that is run in the cloud, together with a comprehensive monitoring solution.
We need to assure our partners that their product is safe and that it will achieve mission success before departing port.
Letting an icebreaker depart port without doing this would just be inviting disaster.
