Even the more progressive people in the US typically have views that the rest of the world consider to be fairly conservative

Yanks are indoctrinated from birth to believe the hype around their country. Plenty see through the bullshit, but the average mug on the street has zero idea that life doesn’t have to be that way

I think the US should’ve been a socialist country from the Great Depression, but it’s gonna require a lot of word of mouth and an aversion of the Red Scares and such - the alternate history story “Reds! A Revolutionary Timeline” (wiki here) would probably give you an idea on what would that be like.

Also, what methods did Zohran Mamdani use that earned him the office of Mayor?
