I usually just pull over when possible and let them get ahead of me. Not worth the drama.
Comment on Do you have to deal with this during your morning commute?

nothing makes a tired annoyed version of me happier before dawn than going extra slow just to piss off the asshole riding my ass with LED headlights lighting up my whole cabin

I give them the chance to pass by moving all the way right in the lane and slowing down at passing opportunities. after a few missed opportunities, I’ll fuck with them for the entertainment.
but yes, not always worth it.

While some people do tailgate people that go the normal speed, if you’re going “extra slow”, you’re the problem I’m afraid. 🤷🏻♂️

If you tailgate me I will slow down to give you the appropriate following distance. I do not want to be rear ended if I have to come to a sudden stop.

I’d also allow people to pass if they come up behind me, but if I’m going slower than general traffic I’m not going to randomly slow down even more to piss people off, that’s just silly.

I don’t do it to piss people off. I do it because their behavior is dangerous and I would like to keep my insurance premium as low as possible. If I can’t see, or if the person behind me is putting me in a position where suddenly slowing down would be unnecessarily dangerous, I must slow down to the extent the law allows until I can pull off to the side. Motherfuckers around where I live tailgate like it is their hobby and will do it on the freeway with multiple open passing lanes.

give it another read, you have your order of events backwards
