Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 3 days agoAs with most things, I assume religion was originally created with an intent to understand the world and to improve things for everyone. Ignorance reinforced the beliefs, and eventually someone figured out that they could use it as a tool to control people.

Religion is a series of documents that conveyed safety regulations and fictional stories about morality which were eventually misconstrued as divine guidance.
