I agree with you and all the other commenters who have this same perspective. I’ve spent decades mostly commando. However recently I decided underwear is probably a good idea because some of my pants have been chafing my tender bits.

Bruh, your underwear makes direct contact with your skin. Whether it’s pants or a layer in between, the result is the same that the barrier carries your pee and poo and it’s in contact with your skin.

This, exactly. What difference does it make if it’s your underwear or your pants? It’s one or the other & I don’t see a benefit to either unless washing 1 thing is easier. That hasn’t been true in over 50+ years. Just wash your clothes, ya filthy animals.
