Red pocket on eBay. 30 bucks for a year of service with 200 minutes 1000 texts and some data every month. Cheapest i’ve found, but i’d love it if someone showed me something cheaper.

Sadly dont think you can buy locally from a store but only through their website, they’ll deliever to the address that you put so maybe use someone else’s and just pick it up like a friend’s or family member’s. Think they also do esim but im not 100% but if they do that should be emailed
