How to use GroupMe in a private manner?

I despise this dogshit application and fail to understand why so many universities use it. I refused to sign up for the longest time not like it would let me anyways for some reason but it is becoming harder as certain university stuff are mandating it.

  Yea and for SOME FUCKING REASON it is the default messaging app for many university related events and whatnot. Shit I would rather use WhatsApp over this shit at least it is end to end encrypted and has a better UI

One thing I can think of is setting up a VM just to run BlueStacks or whatever android emulator is best these days (it’s been like 5 years since I’ve tried that out). Or do like I do with whatsapp and run a Firefox container specifically for groupme

  Yea I would be fine with using it in a container. My biggest problem with GroupMe is it requires a phone number to sign up with no workaround. It apparently also uses that number to verify it is you every time you go to sign in so I can’t use a one time use number.
