This happened to me with Alan Watts, but I’ve heard so much of his content that I knew it was fake within a couple of minutes. It’s such a problem that legitimate fans of his are now mostly posting with titles that include ‘real’ ‘authentic’ or ‘no ai’ in order to stand out from the mountains of BS.

Just watched a “Feinman” video on Youtube I thought was a little off. Especially when one of the examples simply seemed outright wrong.
But I thought it was probably me who misunderstood something. Until I read the description, and it turned out his voice was recreated by AI, and the “lecture” was designed to be in the “spirit” of Feinman!
It had Feinmans name all over it, and then in the description they end it with:
No impersonation is intended
That shit should be outright illegal, it is fraud, Feinman had nothing to do with the content, and it even had mistakes!

I wish Youtube operated like a PiHole where you could upload a list of channels and block them all in one fell swoop.

Just stop watching Youtube entirely except for channels you specifically want. The entire thing is a slop platform.

google/youtube likes to produce slop, since thier whole business now is including AI into everything.
